چکیده

Abstract Horseweed [ Conyza canadensis (L.) Cronquist] is a facultative winter annual weed that can emerge from March to November in Michigan. Fall-emerging C. overwinters as rosette, while spring-emerging skips the rosette stage and immediately grows upright upon emergence. In Michigan, primary emergence recently shifted fall spring/summer therefore an growth type. Growth chamber experiments were conducted determine (1) whether both types could originate single parent (2) common environmental cues influence Variations temperature, photoperiod, competition, shading, soil moisture only resulted type four populations originating seed collected of However, vernalization period 4 wk following water imbibition, but before germination, Dose–response glyphosate sensitivity differed between generated Upright-type known glyphosate-resistant ISB-18 MSU-18 4- 3-fold less sensitive than their siblings, respectively. Interestingly, differences not observed susceptible population. These results suggest shift summer life cycles, concurrent increases resistance occur.

Shikimate accumulates in both glyphosate-sensitive and glyphosate-resistant horseweed (Conyza canadensis L. Cronq.).

Horseweed (Conyza canadensis) is a cosmopolitan weed that commonly grows throughout North America. Horseweed that is not completely controlled by normal applications of glyphosate has been reported in western Tennessee. This research had three objectives: (1) to develop and validate an analytical procedure for the quantitative determination of shikimate, an important indicator of glyphosate act...

Bacterial responses to environmental herbicide pollutants (glyphosate and paraquat)

The toxic effect of herbicides on non- target microorganisms may influence degradation of organic matter resulting in changes to nutrient cycling. In the present study, different strains of bacteria incubated in media containing different concentrations of glyphosate and paraquat were assessed over a period of two incubation terms. The deleterious impact of the herbicide was observed as glyphos...

abstract this study investigates the teachers’ correction of students’ spoken errors of linguistic forms in efl classes, aiming at (a) examining the relationship between the learners’ proficiency level and the provision of corrective feedback types, (b) exploring the extent to which teachers’ use of different corrective feedback types is related to the immediate types of context in which err...

Multiple Resistance of Horseweed to Glyphosate and Paraquat and Its Control with Paraquat and Metribuzin Combinations

Greenhouse and field studies were conducted in 2007 and 2008 to investigate possible multiple-resistance of horseweed to paraquat and glyphosate, and to evaluate the effect of the addition of metribuzin to paraquat on control of paraquat-resistant horseweed. Results indicated that the GR50 (herbicide dose required to cause a 50% reduction in plant growth) value for the susceptible population S1...
